Observing sunrise or sunset is truly captivating, a spectacle to one’s eyes. Doing so from different locations adds a special dimension to the journey, offering rewarding moments to anticipate exciting activities ahead or to reflect on past travel adventures as the day draws to a close.

South Africa’s 2023 Cape winter season was marked by above-normal rainfall for most parts of the province - the fruits of this can be seen in the earlier than normal flower season blossoming more each day. With spring almost around the corner, one can sense the excitement for the upcoming change of season and the many months of sunshine that await.

…these are the requirements many scouts are after when identifying locations for their film- or still shoots.

During the extraordinary times we find ourselves in, production companies have been more open to new ideas and new locations. Shooting in the countryside with wide open spaces, surrounded by nature and the most scenic country settings, has become much more appealing than the ordinary city studio or urban production set. These extraordinary times call for new initiatives.
