DESCRIPTION: The Gold of Africa Museum, located in the historic Martin Melck House, is dedicated to the history and artistry of African gold. The museum contains the world-renowned collection of West African gold artefacts originally from the Barbier-Mueller Museum in Geneva, as well as artefacts from the ancient gold civilisations of Southern Africa.

PANGOLIN NIGHT TOUR: Experience the magic and the mystery – track the golden Pangolin by torchlight and discover the secrets and hidden meanings depicted by the beautiful golden pieces in the museum collection. Includes a glass of wine with real gold leaf “sprinkles”.
Duration 1 hour - Min. 2 people - Max. 25 people at a time – Groups can be rotated.
LION WALKING TOUR: A walking tour of the city of Cape Town, starting at the museum and going down to the Castle, walking back through the city centre taking in all the landmarks, churches and historic buildings. The many lion icons throughout the city are incorporated into the tour. Includes entrance to the museum.
