Eendracht was erected on the sixth oldest site in Stellenbosch, next to the Village Museum, the core of the historic town. Eendracht has been rebuilt in the original architectural style and the site of this double-storey building, is on the original part of the island on which Simon van der Stel camped during his first exploration of the valley.
