DESCRIPTION: Historic Rippon's Safari Lodge, originally a settlers' farm, dating from the late 1800s is a safari lodge where down-to-earth affordable luxury and environmental sustainability are among the main cornerstones.
LOCATION:

An hour and a half's drive from Port Elizabeth, 80kms away, and off the N2, close to Shamwari Game Reserve, the lodge offers a Big Five game experience beyond the surrounding bush in the Shamwari Reserve. Morning and evening game drives and guided walks are included in the activities at the lodge.
ACCOMMODATION: 12 guest rooms in buildings set around fabulous gardens of historical interest - 5 guest rooms in the Old Vet's Clinic have been designed for family stays.  7 adult-only twin or double rooms in the Long Barn overlooking the watering hole. The main house features 2 luxurious duplex family suites, sleeping 2 adults and up to 3 children.
FACILITIES:

2 separate pool decks and a splash pool for the kids of all ages. Babysitting facilities on request. Big Five Game drives with separate kids safaris. Picnics in the magnificent gardens. ‘Cheetah’ bar, lounge and dining room with terraces for outdoor dining.
RATES: From R4800 double per night.  Incl: Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Teas /Coffees, Game Walks, Game Drives.  Excl: Bar Bill, Telephone, Laundry service and gratuities.
